On the afternoon of March 12, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute continued to release evidence that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron used to date. Among them, the letter the actor sent to Sae Ron during his time in the military attracted attention.

The YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute (a group of lawyers and former reporters specializing in reporting on the Korean entertainment industry) posted a video titled “I love you, Kim Sae Ron” on the afternoon of March 12.

This broadcast revealed handwritten letters that Kim Soo Hyun wrote to Kim Sae Ron and pictures he sent her during the time they were still in love.

Kim Soo Hyun nicknamed himself YouTuber Kim Paris, calling Kim Sae Ron Seronero and Kim Ji Won (his co-star in Queen of Tears ) Kim Support.

In a letter written in 2018, when Kim Soo Hyun was in the military, the actor told his girlfriend: “Sae Ron, you’re so cute. Sae Ron, I bought a postcard so I’m writing to you. I drank today so I’m in a good mood. And yet it’s already the end of the letter. I love you, Sae Ron. From Private First Class Kim Soo Hyun who is far away.”

In another letter he also wrote during his military service, Kim Soo Hyun called his girlfriend “honey”. 

The letter reads: “To me, the most beautiful things are associated with you. I wonder, what are you doing now? Are you walking under the sunny sky like me? Are you smiling brightly like every time I see you? Just thinking about you, everything seems brighter. Time flies so fast. How many days have passed since the last time we saw each other?”

The love letters all contain Kim Soo Hyun’s feelings for his girl: “I don’t know what the future will bring, but one thing I’m sure of is that I want to continue on this path and I hope you do too. No matter what challenges lie ahead, I believe we can overcome them.

As long as you’re there, as long as you still believe in what we’ve had and are having, everything is worth it. If there’s ever a time when you feel tired, remember that somewhere, there’s always someone who thinks about you, watches over you, and wishes you happiness. I miss you. The boy who’s always waiting for you, Kim Il-byeong.”

Kim Sae Ron’s aunt also revealed that the actress, born in 2000, trusted her boyfriend very much and once thought that they would get married. The couple started dating in 2015 and broke up in 2021. The reason for their breakup is still a “mystery”. 

During the live broadcast on March 12, the Garo Sero Institute YouTube channel also revealed that Kim Soo Hyun took a screenshot of Kim Sae Ron’s distress message and sent it to a group of reporters, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, and SBS reporter Kang Kyung Yoon.

“Kim Sae Ron sent a desperate message to Kim Soo Hyun, but she was responded to by leaking her cousin’s phone number to reporters. The scary truth about Kim Soo Hyun will soon be revealed,” wrote the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute.

Also during the broadcast on March 12, the famous Korean YouTube channel announced the identity of the actor who accompanied Kim Sae Ron in the serious traffic accident in 2022. That was Choi Hyun Wook.

Choi Hyun Wook (born 2002) is an actor under the same management company as Kim Sae Ron. He is known for his leading role in NewJeans’ MV Ditto , and films such as: Age 25, Age 21, Sparkling Watermelon… In November 2024, the 23-year-old actor caused a scandal with sensitive photos being leaked.

Choi Hyun Wook did not attend Kim Sae Ron’s funeral or send flowers last February. 

On the afternoon of March 12, Dispatch news agency also spoke out about the relationship between Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron. According to their sources, the two artists once dated. This is the reason why the actress born in 2000 signed an exclusive contract with Gold Medalist Company.
